How to book your next tattoo:

Below are the different options of tattoo appointments you can choose from. Each option you book does require a retainer fee to be paid up front to lock in your appointment. An inquiry form will be sent via email or text for you to fill out once you have booked, or if you have already filled out the inquiry form, please note that when booking. If I feel like the time slot you have booked is inaccurate, I will contact you to consult with you on timeframe for your specific piece. For any further questions on rates, how to book, or more, please scroll down to the FAQ’s. At the very bottom of this page shows the types of tattoos I offer and best ways to book these!

*BOTH AN INQUIRY FORM & RETAINER FEE ARE REQUIRED TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT! NO ACCEPTIONS!*

  • My current hourly rate as of August 2025 is $175/hr. In April 2026, my hourly will be going up to $200/hr.

Shop minimum for both locations is $100.

I only accept cash and card transactions at this time, my card reader also does tap pay. I do have an ATM on site at our Lacey location, but not Puyallup so please plan accordingly.

I also offer AfterPay for those who ask. You are required to be pre-approved before making any transaction. Please message me for more details.

    Taxes

I currently only charge taxes on all card transactions. However, starting January 2026, both cash and card transactions will be charged tax. This is a Washington State Law for tattoo artists.

  • As an aspiring and ever-growing artist, I dabble in a lot of styles that I am still trying to learn and perfect. I am very into:

    • Fine Line

    • Black & Grey Illustrative Realism (with pops of color)

    • Pointillism

    • Neo-traditional

    • Script

    • Prints (hand, feet, nose, paws)

    • Black work with color

    • And more!

I am normally not one to say no to any specific style. However, if it is something that is not within my realm, I will happily give you artist recommendations of those I trust with your concept!

    TATTOOS I REFUSE TO TATTOO:

Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or any other hatred-style of tattoos. I will not respond to anyone who brings this to my inbox.

I also do not perform any genitalia tattoos. These inquiries will also be ignored.

  • This is a very good question! All tattoos require different times depending on size, location, color, and style. While some tattoos may be small, the detail may take longer than you think. Same with larger concepts!

If you do not know which session to book, please consult with your artist first. She will send you the link to the proper service for you to pay your deposit to get you booked.

Also, when filling out your inquiry form, please be AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE! This allows your artist to give you the best price quote for your piece. Please read under the each session for examples of which ones to book.

  • A retainer collected on a tattoo session is a non-refundable fee that is put towards the final cost of your tattoo minus any taxes or fees applicable.

This fee is required for ALL tattoo bookings, no exceptions.

  • Cancellation Policy:

Upon booking, you agree to abide by the cancellation policy. Cancelling your appointment in less than 48 hours of booking will result in you forfeiting your retainer that is paid, and you will be required to pay a new retainer to book your appointment. This ensures that your artist has enough time to fill the time slot.

Acceptable reasons to not forfeit your retainer: illness, personal emergency, car troubles.

    No call/No show Policy

Under ANY circumstances will a no call/no show be accepted. If you no call/no show your appointment, you forfeit your retainer and you will be permanently banned from booking with Ethereal Skin Atelier in the future.

I am human, and also a single mom, who also commutes 40+ minutes to the shop. I am very flexible with certain circumstances and all I require is communication. I try to work with my clients to the best of my ability. If you have any emergencies come up, please let me know as soon as you can so I can plan accordingly! I will return the same favor to my clients as well 🖤

  • Q: This is my first tattoo, what do I need to bring?

A: Great question! I know getting a tattoo can be overwhelming, but there is a lot less to it then you think. How to get prepped for your appointment is over in the Tattoo Pre & Post Care tab!

Q: Can I bring friends or family? Kids?

A: The short answer: Yes! We encourage you to bring someone to help support you if you need it for your appointment. At both locations, we offer chairs for them to sit in. As far as kids, this can be a little more difficult. For both locations, you are able to bring your kids of all ages so long as you have another adult with you to help take care of them, especially the younger ones. If they are old enough to keep themselves occupied and out of shared spaces, they are more than welcome to tag along.

Q: What is the legal age to get a tattoo?

A: In Washington State, it is 18 years old. I will not tattoo anyone under any circumstances underage.

    Q: Are tattoos safe?

A: Yes, as long as you go to a reputable artist who is following all safety and sanitation precautions, as well as using reputable supplies. Make sure to read the pre-care instructions to also help aid in the safety of getting a tattoo for yourself as the client.

Q: What to consider when choosing your tattoo?

A: You should have a good idea of what you want before approaching your artist for your piece. You should be able to give size, shade style unless you don’t want any, placement on your body for the piece and budget. This also helps the artist to give you and accurate quote and draw up a piece that you will love. Make sure you check out your artists’ portfolio and talk to them to see if they’re a great fit for your piece.

Q: Should I go small or go big?

A: This completely depends on you, the tattoo choice, placement, and also your pain tolerance. Going small for a first tattoo is ideal, as it helps get you used to how a tattoo feels. However, if you are wanting to go for a bigger piece, we recommend you doing it in multiple sessions. Of course not all large concepts can be done in one session (like sleeves or a full back piece), but larger concepts with lots of detail, color, etc. is recommended to be broken up. This helps your skin heal better, prevents possible skin irritation and ink fallout and also allows you to break up the cost so that you can pay in smaller portions. The average body can tolerate up to 3-4 hours of pain.

Q: Does getting a tattoo hurt?

A: Absolutely. However, the pain for one person can vary greatly from the next. It completely depends on the person and where their highest and lowest sensitivities are.

Q: Do you offer numbing cream?

A: We do not offer a cream but we do offer a numbing spray that we can apply after line work has been completed on a tattoo. There are lots of numbing creams on the market, however, there can be some negative reactions to using it:

    • Some people can develop a skin reaction when using a numbing cream, resulting in postponing your appointment.

    • Numbing cream can and does change the texture of your skin. This can result in less ink-saturation but also can result in your skin not taking ink, which can increase the time on your appointment.

    • Numbing cream only works for so long and then once it wears off, can make the tattoo process become more sensitive than what it would have been without using it. We do not allow reapplication once it is worn off.

Numbing cream is subjective to the artist and the client. If you wish to use numbing cream before your appointment, please consult with your artist beforehand.

Q: Can I get tattooed while sick, pregnant or breast feeding?

A: No. We will not perform any tattoo service if you are ill, pregnant or breast feeding. Please reschedule your appointment to when you are not any of the above.

Q: Can I get anything tattooed?

A: No. There are a lot of circumstances revolving this question:

    • We do not copy other art. We will revamp the piece if you are wanting something specific, but it will not be a copy-paste. Unless you have purchased the art for use of a tattoo, proof will need to be shown.

    • There is a list above of things we will not tattoo such as racist, sexist, or any hatred style tattoos.

    • Any reputable artist will talk you out of a tattoo that might just be a cover up, a regret or be removed by laser in the future. I.e: an 18 year olds first tattoo on their neck or a girlfriend’s name over your heart. Talk to your artist about other alternatives to choose from and work your way up to something bigger down the road.

Q: How do I know if you are the right artist for me?

A: For starters, I recommend you check out my portfolio and make sure my style(s) align with the tattoo you are wanting to get. Next is to book an in-person or virtual consult with me so that both of us can feel out the vibes and make sure we are compatible as artist and client. I am not one to get upset about shopping around for artists and encourage everyone to research and interview multiple artists, especially for more personal and intimate pieces. I also encourage you to get multiple pieces by multiple artists who have different styles! I encourage you to ask all the questions so that there are no surprises when you come to your appointment. I want to make sure all of my clients are happy, comfortable and feel like they’re with a friend rather than a stranger when getting a tattoo with me. Please go read my Bio in the “About” section of my website to understand who I am!

Q: Am I ready for tattoo aftercare?

A: Aftercare is just as important as the safety and sanitation of getting the tattoo. Proper aftercare is crucial to making sure your reducing your chances to negative reactions such as infection or ink fallout, and making your tattoo last as long as possible.

Please talk to your artist about your job, workout routine, any pets you may have and anything else that may not be in your aftercare instructions.

If you are about to go on vacation that involves the beach, run a marathon, or even a camping trip, it is recommended to wait until after your excursions to book your appointment. You will want to have up to 2 weeks of no submerging, sun exposure, excessive sweating and wearing tight clothing. Please visit the Pre & Post Care tab on the website for all things to avoid during your healing time!
